Château de Cazilhac stands in Le Bousquet-d'Orb (Hérault), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 13th century, 14th century, 16th century, 17th century). What the French Ministry of Culture records

Placé sur une éminence commandant les gorges et la vallée de l'Orb, l'endroit a été fortifié sans doute très tôt, peut-être dès le 12e siècle, époque à laquelle il aurait appartenu aux moines de l'abbaye bénédictine de Joncels. La façade principale du château domine une cour fermée de courtines en partie détruites. Elle est cantonnée par deux tours d'angle rondes. Les tours sont munies de meurtrières-canonnières. L'accès se fait à l'ouest par un terre-plein. En contrebas, au sud, s'étagent des terrasses avec parterre à la française. La cour, autrefois entourée de hauts murs, est aujourd'hui largement ouverte par le percement de deux arcades donnant sur une terrasse. La façade opposée, au nord, est plus haute et plus austère. Il s'agit peut-être de la partie la plus ancienne du château, avec ses deux massifs carrés formant comme de grandes tours en avant-corps. Les pièces au rez-de-chaussée sont voûtées d'arêtes. Le deuxième étage conserve un salon Louis XVI avec cheminée rocaille à trumeau mi-glace, mi-peint. L'ensemble renferme des souvenirs de Michel Chevalier et du saint-simonisme.
