To make a day of it

Château de Bois-Boudran stands in Fontenailles (Seine-et-Marne), in the Île-de-France region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The Château de Bois-Boudran stands in Fontenailles, in Seine-et-Marne, on an estate long devoted to hunting. The 17th century main building, in classical style, was extended by a First Empire wing, while a monumental wing commissioned by Count Henry Greffulhe at the turn of the 20th century, designed by architect Ernest Sanson, has since been demolished. The place still recalls Countess Greffulhe, a society figure who hosted writers, politicians and European royalty here. The estate now houses a golf course.
