What the French Ministry of Culture records

Rien ne subsiste de la première maison noble, qui existait déjà au 17e siècle. La date de 1734 inscrite sur les façades du logis, indique probablement l'année de construction de l'édifice actuel. Le château est formé d'un ensemble de bâtiments groupés autour de deux cours, avec communs et bâtiments agricoles. L'accès à la cour principale se fait par un portail encadré de piles. Au fond de la cour se trouve le logis rectangulaire dont le centre est occupé par un avant-corps à pans coupés surmonté d'un attique. Cet édifice est l'un des meilleurs exemples du style Rococo en bordelais.
