Schloss Grünenfurt stands in the district of the same name, between Eisenburg and Memmingen in Bavaria. This small country house was built in 1737 and 1738 for the Augsburg burgher Johann von Scheidlin, on the site of an earlier moated Renaissance residence. The present late baroque building still belongs to descendants of its 19th century owners and remains in private hands. It is not open to visitors.
