Where
Visselhövede

Radesbroke stands in Visselhövede (Landkreis Rotenburg (Wümme)), in Lower Saxony, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

Burg Radesbroke was a medieval motte, now vanished, located south of the Rosebruch district of Visselhövede, on the northern bank of the Rodau river. Late chronicles attribute its founding to a Frisian chieftain named Haije or Hajo, said to have been driven out of Rüstringen, who reportedly built the fortification before being pushed out again by the Bishop of Verden. Only a faint rise in the ground remains today, as the mound has been almost completely levelled over the centuries. Archaeological test borings there uncovered traces of wood, fieldstones and brick fragments.
