This site corresponds to the buried remains of a former Hammerschloss, a manor house linked to a forge hammer powered by the waters of the Pfreimd, in Fischerhammer, a hamlet of the municipality of Tännesberg. Nothing remains above ground: only archaeological traces from the late medieval and early modern periods have been identified underground. The site had ironworking activity from the 14th to the 16th century before falling into disuse, and a noble residence existed there in the 16th and 17th centuries before being built over by later structures.
