Built in 1667 by Charles de Lionne, abbot of Lesseins, the château at Triors underwent significant modifications in 1769 under the direction of the marquis de Valbonnais, giving it its present form. The main building is flanked by two symmetrical wings that define interior courtyards. Original interior features include ornamental plasterwork on ceilings, panelled flooring, and fireplaces. The grounds once displayed formal French garden design.
