Located in Saint-Maurice-de-Rémens, in the Ain department, this mid-18th-century château owes its fame to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who spent his childhood summers there and wrote about it, notably in Wind, Sand and Stars. Built by Claude Colabeau de Rignieux, it passed through several owning families before becoming a children's home and later a boarding school in the 20th century. Bought by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region in 2020, it is now the subject of a museum project dedicated to the writer-aviator's memory.
