Château de Rougemont stands in Aranc (Ain), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
On a rise overlooking the hamlet of Rougemont, two kilometres west of Aranc in the Ain department, stand the remains of a medieval fortified house founded in the 12th century. Three noble families held the site in succession from the mid 12th century to the end of the 18th, the Rougemont, the Grenaud, then the Montillet de Grenaud. Now in ruins, the castle was bought in the 21st century by a family bearing the same name, with the aim of restoring the site.
