Château de Lascours stands in Laudun-l'Ardoise (Gard), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 13th century, 16th century, 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
Lascours castle stands at Laudun-l'Ardoise on a fortified terrace lined with bastions, an arrangement rarely found in Languedoc. Its origins go back to the 13th century, though most of what can be seen today was built between 1572 and 1590 for the Marshal de Joyeuse, in the form of three wings arranged around a courtyard. The facades, altered in the 18th century, hide interiors that remain notable: rooms in enfilade, carved fireplaces, rocaille stucco work and a grand two-flight staircase.
