Château de Gaillon (également sur commune de Aubevoye) stands in Gaillon (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century, 17th century, 18th century). Adult admission costs 7 EUR. Its opening hours and prices were verified at the source on September 5, 2026.
Perched above Gaillon, overlooking the Seine valley, this former residence of the archbishops of Rouen reflects building campaigns begun in 1502, later shaped by Jules Hardouin-Mansart and Le Nôtre for its gardens. Sold off and split up as national property at the end of the 18th century, the site is currently under restoration but remains open to visitors. Both self-guided and guided tours allow exploration of the 16th-century architectural remains and traces of a park once laid out by leading classical landscape designers.
