To make a day of it

Château de Cossieux stands in Jujurieux (Ain), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The château de Cossieux stands in the hamlet bearing its name, in the commune of Jujurieux in the Ain department. Built around a keep more than thirty metres high, its present form dates from 1880, when Victor Bonnet, son of the founder of the Établissements C.J Bonnet, enlarged the family house inherited through his mother. The estate, still owned by descendants of the same family, holds some thirty rooms set within a landscaped park. Nearby stands a dovecote linked to the property's history, which alone carries a listing as a historic monument.
