To make a day of it

Château de Combret stands in Nauviale (Aveyron), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 13th century, 19th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Standing on a hilltop north of the village of Nauviale in the Aveyron department, the château de Combret retains traces of a 13th century stronghold that gradually became a more comfortable residence. Its medieval keep, a 16th century stair tower and a 17th century terrace reflect the successive changes made by the families who owned it over the centuries. The site is currently undergoing a restoration programme aimed at stabilising a structure weakened by age.
