On the limestone plateau southwest of Onet-le-Château, the Château d'Is preserves the memory of a former grange belonging to the Bonnecombe abbey, gradually turned into a neo-Renaissance residence. Traces of its agricultural and monastic past remain visible, from the medieval archway to the Renaissance square tower and the 19th century alterations. The site is now kept alive by an association devoted to the Cistercian heritage of the region.
