La commune du Parcq est le souvenir toponymique de l'extraordinaire et historique parc d'Hesdin, créé par les comtes de Flandres et détruit avec la ville par Charles Quint, et qui se situait à proximité de cette propriété où il n'y avait à l'origine qu'un pavillon de chasse appartenant à la famille d'Estruval. Cette propriété a été transmise par mariage, sous Louis XIV, au gouverneur d'Hesdin. En 1705 ou 1715, il a transformé les bâtiments existants, planté l'allée de tilleuls, construit les deux pavillons d'entrée et les haras. Incendié à la Révolution, le château a été racheté comme bien national par M. Thérouanne qui l'a reconstruit à l'identique à partir de 1804. Le parc a été retracé en 1822. La famille Le Gentil l'a acquis en 1880 et y demeure toujours, exploitant les terres et élevant des chevaux de course.
