Standing in the village of Ermenouville, in Seine-Maritime, the Château d'Arnouville dates from the late 16th century. Its south front, built in sandstone decorated with mosaic patterns, was raised by Nicolas Allais, a counsellor to King Henri III, while the north front, rebuilt after an 18th-century fire, was given turrets in the early 20th century. Having passed from the Dupuis d'Arnouville family to the Clercy and later the Malartic family, the estate now belongs to the La Rochefoucauld family.
