To make a day of it
Burgwallinsel stands in Waren (Landkreis Mecklenburgische Seenplatte), in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
Southeast of Waren, a small wooded island called Burgwall sits within Feisneck lake, preserving subtle evidence of an old Slavic settlement. Ceramic artifacts recovered there indicate the location was inhabited from the 7th and 8th centuries up until the 12th century, during the period when the Müritz tribe held the territory. Centuries of erosion have removed most traces of habitation, leaving only an earthen rampart in the island's southern section as a visible remnant.
