To make a day of it

Burgwall Laschendorf stands in Malchow (Landkreis Mecklenburgische Seenplatte), in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

The Burgwall Laschendorf is a former Slavic ring fort in the woods on the shore of the Fleesensee, northwest of Laschendorf, a district of Malchow. The small circular earthwork, about 50 metres across, was once protected by the surrounding water almost like an island during Slavic times. Several researchers identify it with the historical Burg Malchow, documented in 1147 and 1164 during the Wendish Crusades. Visitors today find earthen remains set in woodland rather than any standing building.
