Burg Vondern stands in Oberhausen (Oberhausen), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Burg Vondern stands in the Osterfeld district of Oberhausen, on a site whose name is thought to derive from a Middle High German word for a narrow footbridge over a stream. Once the noble and rural seat of the lords of Vonderen, first recorded in the late thirteenth century, it passed through several owners before becoming municipal property after the Second World War. Since the 1980s a support association has run it as a self-managed community centre, hosting concerts and medieval-style festivals.
