To make a day of it
Château de La Colle Noire stands in Montauroux (Var), in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
At the entrance to the Pays de Fayence, on a rise overlooking the Montauroux plain, the château de La Colle Noire takes its name from the neighbouring hamlet and owes its present appearance to a dual history. Built in the mid-19th century by Henri-Emmanuel Poulle, a former president of the Aix-en-Provence court, it was later bought in 1950 by Christian Dior, who made it his Provençal retreat. A chapel dedicated to Saint Anne stands in the grounds and is still used for worship today. The estate has belonged to Parfums Christian Dior since 2013.
