In Granville, on the site of the former village of Saint-Nicolas, this Louis XVI style manor was built in the late 1780s for a shipowner who had made his fortune in maritime trade and privateering. Both its landward-facing east front, built that way to shelter from sea winds, and its west front facing the sea, follow a symmetrical layout centred on a projecting-free section topped by a triangular pediment. Inside are a large ground-floor drawing room with a fireplace and seven painted overdoor panels, as well as a dining room and an upstairs boudoir with period woodwork.
