Built between 1881 and 1885 by Caen architect Jacques-Claude Baumier, it once welcomed painter Laure Brouardel and, in 1920, hosted President Paul Deschanel for several weeks of rest. Inside, the entrance hall, staircase, grand salon, dining room and study still display their original decor, including panelling and fireplaces in neo-Louis XV and neo-Renaissance styles.
