# Manoir de Kerivoas

Manoir de Kerivoas stands in Kerlouan (Finistère), in the Bretagne region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 16th century). The building opens only occasionally, for events.

At Kerlouan, the manor of Kerivoas is best known for what remains of its defensive works: a stone gateway and an enclosing wall flanked by two towers, still showing a loophole for arquebus fire and Renaissance carving around the carriage entrance. The original living quarters, built in the late 16th century, have largely vanished, reshaped over time for farm use. Visitors come here for these fortified remains rather than for an intact residence.

Viewed from the outside only, the ruins being the historic manor. The site opens for special events organised by the owner, including exhibitions.
