On the slope of a hillside overlooking the Chéran river, in the hamlet of Vons, stands a fortified manor house of uncertain origin. The quadrangular building, flanked by a square tower topped with a dovecote, a round turret and a pepper-pot bartizan, bears the trace of a long line of lords, from the Richard d'Alby family to those who followed them. Inside, a spiral staircase leads to a room with a 17th century moulded fireplace and a coffered ceiling. The property remains privately owned, having changed hands in 2016, and is undergoing restoration work.
