# Logis de Chalonne (Gond-Pontouvre)

No visits are on record for this building.

The Logis de Chalonne stands on a hillside overlooking the Charente river, upstream from Angoulême in the commune of Gond-Pontouvre. Little remains of its former defensive character, apart from the ruins of a keep built in large stone blocks, possibly dating to the 12th or 13th century. Visitors can see a conical-hooded fireplace known as 'sarrazine' and ogee-arched openings that once opened onto a lord's hall.

**No visits on record.** No opening hours or ticketing found.
