# Hôtel du Garde-Meuble

No visits are on record for this building.

The Hôtel du Garde-Meuble stands on the rue des Réservoirs, in the Notre-Dame district of Versailles, close to the palace. Built at the end of the 18th century to store royal furniture and house the official in charge of it, the building later served several other purposes, including as a prefecture and a hotel. It also bears witness to a lesser-known chapter of the Revolution, when the palace's collections were sold off. Converted into private residences, it is not open for visits, though its facade can still be seen from the street.
