# Herrenfluh

Uffholtz, Haut-Rhin, Grand Est

Herrenfluh stands in Uffholtz (Haut-Rhin), in the Grand Est region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Herrenfluh is a ruined rock castle standing at 858 metres on the Route des Crêtes, above Uffholtz, right on the boundary with Wattwiller. Only one rubble-stone wall remains, thought to belong to a keep or a residential tower, perched on a rock spur cut off from the mountain by a ditch. Visitors come mainly for the setting and the layered history, from medieval destructions to the heavy fighting near the Hartmannswillerkopf in the First World War.
