Weikersheim Palace, in Weikersheim, in the Main-Tauber-Kreis, in Baden-Württemberg, was the original seat of the House of Hohenlohe before becoming their Renaissance residence. A moated medieval stronghold already stood here in the 12th century, but from 1595 Count Wolfgang II had it rebuilt into an extensive palace that incorporated the old keep. Its centerpiece is the Rittersaal, with a painted coffered ceiling depicting hunting scenes, and the grounds include a baroque garden laid out on three axes opening onto the Tauber valley. The estate is listed as a Kulturdenkmal in Germany.
