Schloss Schomberg stands on a hilltop above Stebbach, a district of Gemmingen, built in the neoclassical style of the early nineteenth century. Erected between 1820 and 1826 by architect Karl August Schwarz for Count Hans Christoph von Degenfeld-Schonburg, it has a square plan and opens to the west onto a terrace leading into a landscaped park planted with unusual species such as bladdernut and smoke trees. Still inhabited by the Degenfeld family, the building itself cannot be visited, though its exterior and grounds remain visible from nearby.
