The present building, erected in 1553 in Renaissance style, takes its name from the feudal tenure that defined the estate for centuries. Above the entrance, a coat of arms stone bears the emblems of Wolf Conrad Greck and his wife Sibylla, born von Gemmingen, together with a verse from Psalm 127. The castle is listed as an individual stop along the Burgenstraße and sits within a small park close to where the Kocher meets the Neckar.
