# Schloss Gräfenberg

Gräfenberg, Landkreis Forchheim, Bayern

Schloss Gräfenberg stands in Gräfenberg (Landkreis Forchheim), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.

Schloss Gräfenberg, the former administrative seat (Pflegschloss) of the free imperial city of Nuremberg, stands right next to the Protestant Trinity church on the square bearing its name. Its core dates back to the 14th century, when the building served as a fortified manor, before Nuremberg took it over and expanded it from the 16th century onward to house its local bailiff. A further wing added in 1812, when the building became a courthouse, now extends the older structure. Today the building houses the administrative offices of the town and of the Gräfenberg joint municipal authority, so it is not open to the public as a sightseeing destination.
