Schloss Fasanerie stands in Eichenzell, in the Landkreis Fulda, in Hesse, on the site of a former summer residence of the prince-abbots of Fulda. Building began around 1735 under Prince-Abbot von Dalberg as a modest country house, before his successor Amand von Buseck had it enlarged to its present size by the architect Andreas Gallasini. The baroque complex, arranged around an enclosed courtyard and a three-sided court of honour, now houses a museum that includes a notable porcelain collection assembled by the House of Hesse.
