Built around 1730 by Ignaz Anton Gunetzrhainer for an administrator working for the counts of Törring, it acquired its present name only later, with no confirmed link to the von Lerchenfeld family. Its rococo facade, with stucco work attributed to Johann Baptist Zimmermann, survived the destruction of 1944 and remains the building's notable feature; the premises today house Munich's municipal cemetery and funeral services.
