The Palais Bückeburg stands within its own park, bounded by Herminenstraße, Birkenallee, Parkstraße and Georgstraße in the town of Bückeburg. Built at the end of the 19th century as a widow's residence for Princess Hermine zu Waldeck-Pyrmont, the sandstone building has a 55-metre facade and a round tower rising 56 metres. Inside, a staircase lined with sixteen columns leads to the great hall, where a 19th-century ceiling painting survives. The building now houses a vocational school and is also used for events and film productions.
