Burg Ringsheim stands east of Flamersheim, a district of Euskirchen, on the site of a former moated stronghold that gave its name to a village which disappeared in the 17th century. The present complex combines 13th century walls and towers, remains of the medieval fortress, with a manor house built in the 18th century directly on that older enclosure. A 19th century inner bailey, with its farmyard and the ruins of a chapel, completes the site, while only fragments of walls and towers survive from the outer bailey. Still inhabited by its owners, the house preserves a 19th century upper class interior.
