# Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe

Kassel, Kassel, Hessen

Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe stands in Kassel (Kassel), in Hesse, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is a hillside landscape park in Kassel, Hesse, laid out from 1696 onward for the Landgraves and later Electors of Hesse-Kassel. Covering roughly 2.4 square kilometres, it runs from the Hercules statue atop the Karlsberg down to the Schloss Wilhelmshöhe, taking in cascades, grottoes and basins that mix Baroque water features with later English landscape garden design. Visitors also pass the Löwenburg, a deliberately built artificial ruin styled as a medieval castle, along with bridges and aqueducts added as picturesque follies. The park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013.
