# Château La Tour Blanche

Château La Tour Blanche is primarily a wine estate in the Sauternes region, ranked as a first growth in the 1855 classification, named after a former counsellor at the Bordeaux Parliament, Monsieur de Latour Blanche. The estate now houses an agricultural training school, established according to the wishes of financier Daniel Iffla, known as Osiris, who bequeathed the property to the French State in 1907. Visitors come mainly to learn how a great sweet wine is made, from vines grown on gravelly soil to the cellars where the wine ages.
