The château du Pointet stands west of Broût-Vernet, in the Allier department, set within a wooded park. Its brick and half-timbered façade, flanked by two turreted pavilions, one hexagonal tower topped with a small spire, dates from the mid-19th century. It was built for Hippolyte Conchon, mayor of Clermont-Ferrand, and later passed to his daughter Léontine, wife of minister Eugène Rouher. The building now houses a priory of the Society of Saint Pius X.
