Commissioned by Louis XIV and built under Louis XV between 1719 and 1724 by architects Robert de Cotte and later Pierre le Mousseux, the complex combines a main residence, large stables and working buildings in the classical style of the period. The visit takes in the historic core, the stables and the harness room, along with a collection of horse-drawn carriages.
