On the heights of the Hohenburgberg, facing Mont Sainte-Odile, stand the remains of the Hagelschloss castle, also known as the Waldsberg castle. Of this medieval fortress only sections of wall survive, along with a striking stone arch spanning the two ends of a U-shaped rock. The site, tucked away in the forest, can only be reached on foot, along trails marked by the Club vosgien.
