# Château de Turluron

No visits are on record for this building.

The Château de Turluron sits on one of the volcanic hills overlooking the town of Billom, in the Puy-de-Dôme department. First recorded in 1314 and dating back to the 11th century, it now stands as a ruin overtaken by vegetation, its large windows giving it a deceptively later appearance that hides its true age. Visitors can still make out the remains of a turret and rows of putlog holes that once held scaffolding or wooden hoardings.
