Set on a ridge above a lake in La Tagnière, the château de Trélague retains the square keep of a fortified house raised around 1460, flanked by two round towers, to which a two-winged residence was added the following century. Inside, visitors can see painted wood panelling and a Renaissance coffered ceiling in the main salon, along with restored fireplaces in the keep's rooms. The grounds, laid out by landscape architect Édouard André in the early twentieth century, are open to the public even though the château itself remains privately owned.
