Sections of curtain wall, the bases of two round towers pierced with gun loops, and the corner of a building with a turret survive from a stronghold first recorded in the 10th century and rebuilt in the 12th. The property is privately owned and closed to visitors, though its grounds host a theatre festival every summer.
