> Probablement construit au début du 13e siècle et détruit, le château de Schoeneck est reconstruit en 1286 par les soins de l'évêque de Strasbourg. Au 16e siècle, le château est modernisé par les Durckheim, notamment au niveau du système défensif. Le château est détruit à la fin du 17e siècle. Après la Révolution, les vestiges sont achetés par la famille de Dietrich. L'entrée principale du château, au sud, est défendue par deux bastions carrés munis de canonnières. A l'ouest, courtine rectiligne fermant la basse-cour ; à l'est, longue muraille flanquée de deux tours. La porte d'entrée du château était précédée d'un pont-levis.
