> La tour est le dernier vestige de l'ancien château, pris par les Anglais en 1356. Il a été en partie reconstruit aux 15e et 16e siècle. Louise de Savoie, mère de François Ier, y reçut Anne de Bretagne. La tour a été transformée au début du 16e siècle, époque à laquelle une brèche fut faite pour construire des croisées formant avant-corps terminé par un gâble, avec une grande coquille sculptée, des crochets et des fleurons.
