# Château de Puisserguier

Puisserguier, Hérault, Occitanie

Château de Puisserguier stands in Puisserguier (Hérault), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 12th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

In Puisserguier, in the Hérault department, this castle preserves traces of an occupation dating back at least to the late 11th century, when a fortified site was already recorded here. Captured and destroyed during the Albigensian Crusade, it was later rebuilt and altered over the centuries by its successive lords, first the viscounts of Narbonne, then the counts of Foix. Today visitors can see an inner courtyard surrounded by buildings from the 12th and 17th centuries, including a square keep, an arcaded gallery, and a fireplace decorated with gypsum plasterwork.

**Practical details not verified yet.** We know this château and where it is, but we have not yet checked its opening hours or prices at the source. We would rather tell you than display something we are unsure of.
