Now in ruins, the site preserves its full defensive layout: access chicanes, a barbican, firing posts and a double wall following the shape of the rock. Visitors come both for the wide views over the Boulzane valley and for the military architecture, which spans several centuries of changing warfare, from crossbows to cannon.
