# Château de Navarre

Évreux, Eure, Normandie

Château de Navarre stands in Évreux (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Two kilometres from Évreux, the name château de Navarre now refers to a place rather than a building: successive structures once stood here, from the medieval fortress of Joan II of Navarre to the residence built by Hardouin-Mansart for the Duke of Bouillon. This is where Napoleon gave Joséphine a estate after their divorce in 1810, and where she lived for two years among gardens redesigned by English landscapers. The building was torn down in 1836 and replaced by a factory; the Évreux racecourse now occupies the site, in what is known as the Navarre district.

**Practical details not verified yet.** We know this château and where it is, but we have not yet checked its opening hours or prices at the source. We would rather tell you than display something we are unsure of.
