Château de Montretout stands in Dangu (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: limite 19th century 20th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

> En 1871, le château de style néo-classique, construit au milieu du 18e siècle, est incendié lors des combats du Siège de Paris. En 1876, il est restauré par l'architecte Lambert. En 1884, le duc Pozzo di Borgo acquiert le domaine de Dangu (Eure) qui comprend des parties fortifiées anciennes et un édifice médiéval dit "ancien château". De 1896 à 1899, il fait transférer son château de Montretout sur ce domaine. L'architecte Dauvergne remonte et modifie la construction d'origine, désormais appelée "Nouveau Château", réhaussant le comble et ajoutant un étage aux ailes. Le paysagiste Achille Duchêne modifie le parc en créant des alignements en rapport avec la nouvelle construction.
