Owned for seven centuries by the Lautrec family, ancestors of the painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, it survived the Wars of Religion before falling into neglect during the 20th century. Visitors today can see a 13th-century tower housing a restored chapel, a lime kiln, and gardens recreated around the site, including a medieval orchard and a rose garden.
